Welcome to our students, 2 of them are still on the way to Dundlod due to bus and train delays. In this season, fog can cause many disruptions. A good review of anatomy is necessary to refresh the somewhat neglected knowledge from the past 6 months spent at home.
The joy of reuniting is evident on their faces, these next 3 weeks will be intense to complete the program and achieve the knowledge we have set out to attain. The review of hoof balance and conformations with the horses was the theme of the afternoon.
Everything needs to be revisited, some students are more observant than others, more diligent in memorizing the terminology and providing clear responses to their observations. We will also review trimming before moving on to adjusting shoes and total shoeing. An introduction to blacksmithing will also be provided in the coming days to complement our program. I
It will be 3 intensive weeks for our class.
